Scanners Discotheque

The Scanners Discotheque is a nightclub in Valdivia, Chile, at Geneal Lagos street. It is called the "national capital of perreo". It is also often referred as "La Chaner".

It was opened in the 90`s, at the river side of the city. Though the club was billed as a discothèque, meaning only recordings with no bands, the Scanners Discotheque use to be visited by several musical bands including Alejandro Silva, Chancho en Piedra and Pandemia. The actual DJ have a long international career, in Europe and South America, he use to focus the rythms in sofisticated techno and reggaeton. The discotheque use to have a lot of Go-Go dancers wich are known as "Las Chanas" (Chaners).
