Compost tea is a liquid solution or suspension of water and compost that is used for foliar feeding of plants and sometimes for plant disease control.

There are 3 main types of compost tea: fresh compost tea, fermented compost tea, and aerated compost tea.

Aerated compost tea (ACT) is made using special equipment that raises the level of oxygen in the tea to encourage the growth of aerobic bacteria and fungi.
