Savio High School, aka Savio Catholic High School, is a Roman Catholic institution for ages 11 to 18, in Sefton, Merseyside, England. The school, run by priests, also has a small sixth form. The campus also houses the south Sefton City Learning Center, a new high-tech state of the art computing centre with conferencing facilities. Savio is well known for its excellent sports and computing facilities. During the Month of March 2006, the school received an OfSted inspection. The school will be re-inspected one year forward to this, where any further action will be taken. "Savio High School is not an effective high school because its pupils underachieve in Key Stage 3 and in science and maths between the ages of 11 and 16" Source Ofsted inspection March 06. [1]. The school has about 820 pupils on roll, of which approximetely 100 in the sixth form.

[edit] 6th Form Football Team

The Savio 6th form football team is made up 16 of the most gifted footballers in years 12 and 13. The team plays in a blue strip with yellow trim. The current season has finished not so successful with some poor results and only a few wins including a 1-0 victory against Chesterfield High School and 5-1 against Halewood.

[edit] South Sefton City Learning Centre

South Sefton City Learning Centre (aka: SSCLC), is a £100,000/year government funded complex, aiming to provide state of the art ICT and education facilities to schools and local businesses within the local area. The facility, managed by Barry Ravenscroft, also employs 2 full-time technicians to help manage the ICT and CAD/CAM facilities offered primarily to local primary and high schools.
