Saving Cynthia is episode 3 of the second season of All Grown Up!

[edit] Storyline

Angelica's mom gets rid of Angelica's old stuff and sells Cynthia (Angelica's favorite doll from Rugrats times) without Angelica's knowing. However, when Angelica needs someone to talk to and finds that Cynthia was pawned off, Angelica and her friends Susie and Harold go to the pawn shop and try to get Cynthia back. Harold even pretends to fake an illness to get her back (but calls Cynthia "Karina"). They come back with a replacement Cynthia to trade her back, but the owner of the pawn shop has gone to a doll convention in hopes of selling her. The three make it to the convention in time to get Cynthia, but the owner refuses to trade because he wants to make enough money to hire a butler, to alleviate stress from his life. Angelica, in a quid pro quo agreement, trades Cynthia for her robot butler.

  • Although Angelica makes a fevered attempt to get Cynthia back, she has not been shown in any later episodes.

Along with "Bad Aptitude" "Saving Cynthia" aired the same year that the Nickelodeon show Spongebob Squarepants took a 2 year break.
