Savage Circus is a German power metal band originally created as a side project by Thomen Stauch before leaving Blind Guardian, but can now be seen as his "official" band. He asked his friend Piet Sielck if he was interested to join Thomen's new project, and he absolutely wanted to. Piet then introduced a Swedish band called Persuader to Thomen, and he really liked it, and also the fact that the vocalist sounded very much like Hansi Kürsch and Thomen immediately said that he wanted to have Jens Carlsson (singer of Persuader) in the band. And Jens brought with him Persuader guitarist Emil Norberg into the band as well. And in August, 2005 their debut album Dreamland Manor was released, and it did for sure please the fans.

The musical style is very much like both Blind Guardian and Persuader but does of course also contain some Iron Savior elements, due to Piet Sielck's writing.
