From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Saturday Night With Miriam is a very popular television chat show which was first broadcast in Ireland on RTÉ One in the summer of 2005. Hosted by Miriam O'Callaghan the show ran for six weeks as a summer filler. The pre-recorded show was broadcast on Saturday nights after the main evening news, lasting approximately 60 minutes.

"Saturday Night With Miriam" was very much influenced by the British show Parkinson. Each week three guests were interviewed by O'Callaghan. Guests included Charlie McCreevy, Paul Brady, D.J. Carey and Ray D'Arcy. The show proved to be a surprise hit for RTÉ. O'Callaghan, who is a current affairs broadcaster, was praised for her presenting skills and was even named as a possible future presenter of "The Late Late Show", RTÉ's flagship chat show.
