Saturday Looks Good to Me
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Saturday Looks Good to Me is an experimental pop band that formed in 1999. The group is led by singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Fred Thomas (former member of His Name Is Alive, Lovesick, Flashpapr), known to both friends and audiences alike to consume massive amounts of doctor pepper and reese's cups, sometimes putting them together mixed with beer or wine. Based both in Ypsilanti as well as Detroit, the group frequently culls talent instrumentation for the various productions from the respective scenes. Through Thomas, the group's major songwriter, the group creates intricate soundscapes which harken back to Detroit soul, such as Motown, as well as some of the better recordings by The Beach Boys and productions of Phil Spector.
