Sass
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sass is listed in the Oxford English Dictionary as being a derivative of "sauce"[1] meaning insolence or imprudence, in attitude or speech.
It normally relates to straight female and gay male behaviour, eg. "being sassy". Sex is usually not directly implied.
A historical meaning can be found in "Hey, you sass that hoopy Ford Prefect? Now there's a frood that really knows where his towel is." from Episode 8, 1980, of the Radio Series Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
In this context, sass is said to mean "to be aware of, meet, know or have sex with." However, this is not currently meant in daily conversation.
