User:Saren
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Saren is a name made up by Sandra and Richard Sakurai in St. Louis, Missouri in 1968, as a name for their first born son. As the product of a mixed Japanese-Ohioian marriage, Saren was a useful combination of the Japanese and English phonetic sounds, and equally confusing to both sets of grandparents. The name was intended to be a cross cultural compromise.
The term has no meaning in either English or Japanese, however unbeknownst to the originators in Japanese and English, it is a surname in Iran.
