My two cents:

  • There is still lack of information explaining why Gopal was awarded the Padma Vibhushan. Such a major award does not come easily. He must have done a great amount of work to get noticed for it.
  • Searching with Google for his name frustrates me, because the majority of results appear to be commercial sites selling his works. Not much biographical information I could find (but then I looked through only the first two pages of results).
  • With more sources, this article can easily be expanded to become at least Good Article.
