Sariah
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the Book of Mormon, Sariah (BoM Arabic سرايا Sarāyā) is the wife of Lehi, and the mother of Laman, Lemuel, Sam, Nephi, Jacob, and Joseph. When Laman and Lemuel strayed, Sariah remained faithful to Lehi and Nephi.
Among LDS linguists, prevalent consensus of the meaning of the name "Sariah" is שׂריה Śaryāh "the LORD is prince", and an alternative voicing of the name Seraiah.
