Saranda Yates Jones works as a secretary. She debuted in part 4 of the story Riverdale Redux in Archie's Pals-N-Gals Double Digest issue 24 [1997].

Saranda is the daughter of her late parents, yuppies Michael Jack "Mike" and Sophia Victoria "Summer" (Thomas) Jones, who both died before she had a chance to really know them, before she grew into a fine, mellow young woman. She was raised by relatives of Jughead Jones's family, and attended local schools until graduating from RHS; she then attended Riverdale University, majoring in secretarial studies and computer applications.
She then took a position at Riverdale Court House, working for elderly Judge Jack Bookum (see [part 4] ). In that story, he and she were working on a case involving Reggie's father being jailed for something he wasn't involved in at all! Reggie went inside RCH to see Judge Bookum about freeing his dad from the jail; meanwhile, Saranda got a small foreign object just inside her eye (which eventually fell out). After some deliberation, Reggie's dad (a newspaper reporter/writer) got released from lockup.
Shortly thereafter, Saranda got done at RCH. She then took a similar position at Riverdale Software International (owned by wealthy multi-millionaire Hiram Lodge, Veronica's father). She then got assigned to Harry (who's recently hired by Mr. Lodge to work at RSI as a programmer). They then got acquainted, and started dating steadily; he and she were finally happy meeting each other. They work and get along very fine together, both on and off the job site. Harry found Saranda after his date with Veronica Lodge (whom he first wanted to date; he still has favorable feelings with the rich demure brunette...).

Saranda is a mellow blonde with a very smart brain. She's at-the-ready, willing to help with almost anything requested. Hers is a bubbly personality, though she tends to weep when overexcited or sad. Long ladylike skirts and dresses with decent matching or coordinating tops figure among Saranda's wardrobe. Her rich banana blonde hair (that does have some light yellow and very light pale key lime green highlights) is nicely coiffed.
Saranda's steady date is her computer programmer nerdy guy, Harry. Being a recent immigrant from faraway Fosnia, he has an immaculate command of English (which he learned while back there); an original member of the Fosnian Royal Family Fulmonovich, Harry acquired the designation Esq. after moving to America.
Harry and Saranda are still dating steadily, and their love for each other (and for the LORD) has grown stronger since. He now lives at Fulmonovich Estates (a mansion on the northwest corner of Riverdale), and hopes Saranda will move there after they both get married.
