Sarah Culberson
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sarah Culberson (born 1976), known in Sierra Leone as Princess Sarah[citation needed], is a Sierra Leonean American woman of minir royal status from Sierra Leone. Culberson was adopted one year after her birth by a West Virginia couple and was raised in the United States with no knowledge of her royal pedigree.
In 2004, Miss Culberson hired a private investigator to track down her roots, and discovered that her father was in fact a prince. Since then, Princess Sarah has taken to heart the plight of her 36,000 newly-found subjects, most of whom are desperately poor. "The title 'princess' means responsibility, and that's what I'm taking on," the young royal has said. She has since established the Kposowa Foundation to alleviate the suffering endured by her people.
Princess Sarah is a member of the Mende. Related to her are fellow royals Prince Kaitor and Princess Mangaya, among others throughout the United States, Europe, and Sierra Leone.
