Sara Dís Hjaltested

Sara Dís Pétursdóttir Hjaltested (Reykjavík (Iceland), 12 April 1986 - ) is an Icelandic pop singer.

Her father, Pétur Pétursson Hjaltested, is a musician and her mother, María Björk Sverrisdóttir, is a pop singer.

In November 1994, Sara Dís participated in the 37° Edition of the Zecchino d'Oro in the Institute of Antoniano in Bologna
interpreting the song "I Folletti di Islanda" (download).

During her permanence in the Institute of Antoniano, she became friend of Natali Zenonos, a Cypriot little girl who represented
her State singing the song "Cipro" to the same edition of the Zecchino d'Oro.

In that edition of the Zecchino, the trophy (Golden Sequin) was won by the Italian song "Metti la canottiera" (sung by Leonardo Curcio).

In the year 2002, Sara Dís Hjaltested participated in the Samfés with the song "Á ég ást mína að játa" (Jesus Christ Superstar).

At present, she lives in Garðabær, a little town located near Reykjavík, in the West-Southern zone of Iceland.
