what do they do? --Masssiveego 06:43, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

The County Supervisors sit on a board and oversee the running of the county. In California they oversee such areas as the prisons, police, hospitals, and social services. They are an important arm of the government distributing much of the funding. It has also been a stepping stone for many politicians as they seek higher office, moving from city council to county supervisor then state senator. Dapoloplayer 07:51, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
