The little I know about Sandymount High School comes from my time there - is there anybody who can confirm or deny the claims made by the poster in the following link:

While I know the geography is correct and that Sandymount High is older than Marian College, the posting is short on details:

  • Who was the priest who railed against the school for a decade?
  • Who owned the land that Marian College was later built on?
  • Where can I find a detailed (with references to sources) source of information on the politics of the Catholic Church, other churches and education in 20th Century Ireland?
