Talk:Sandy McCutcheon

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There is a statement about Sandy McCutcheon circulating on the Internet -- the one published on the ABC's site -- that has what seems to me an inconsistency. It claims that Sandy's first novel, In Wolf's Clothing was entered into the 1995 HarperCollins Fiction Prize competition and came runner-up out of a field of 400 novels. At the same time, this book was published in 1997. Another source claims that it has not been runner-up, but shortlisted. I have not been able to find any further information about this matter. --Evgeni Sergeev 12:16, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Clarification

The National Fiction Prize in 1995 was for unpublished manuscripts. It was not until 1997 that In Wolf's Clothing was published. Hence the two dates. It was reprinted in 1998.
