From various sources on the net, it seems his nickname was "optimo imperator". Anyone know the origin of its use? They seem to have a common source: Roderick Stuart's "Royalty for Commoners". --Countakeshi 04:40, 10 July 2005 (UTC)

There is no historical basis for this - probably confusion with Sancho III, who did use the Imperial title. Agricolae 01:16, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
