Santacruz (railway station)

Santa Cruz is the name of a railway station on the Mumbai suburban railway on the Western Railway and Central Railway (Harbour Line) railway lines. The neighborhood is Santa Cruz.
To the West of the station lies Juhu and the area from which Santa Cruz got its name. It is derived from the latin word Santa Cruz meaning Holy Cross after a Cross miraculously turned into a tree or so. In the East you have Kalina which houses the largest campus of the Bombay University, Vakola. You will also find the best Yoga institute here at Prabhat Colony.
Among the schools in the West you will find: Sacred Heart School St Teresas School St Lawrence School
On 11 July 2006 was affected by 11 July 2006 Mumbai train bombings.
