Santa Sofia a Via Boccea

Santa Sofia a Via Boccea, titular church, Ukrainian national church, and Sober, or Mother Church, of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, whose Metropolitan Josyf Cardinal Slipyj had this building constructed in 1967-8 on his return from a 20 year exile in Siberia. Mass is celebrated according to the Byzantine-Ukrainian rite, and the church has an iconostasis, painted by Jucenalij Josyf Mokryckuj. The church contains relics of Pope Clement I
