Santa Sofia is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Forlì-Cesena in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 80 km southeast of Bologna and about 35 km southwest of Forlì. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,223 and an area of 148.5 km2.[1]
The municipality of Santa Sofia contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Berleta, Biserno, Burraia, Cabelli, Campigna, Camposonaldo, Chalet Burraia, Collina di Pondo, Corniolo, Isola, Monte Falco Rifugio La Capanna, Rifugio La Capanna, San Martino, and Spinello.
