Santa Margherita Ligure is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Genoa in the Italian region Liguria, located about 25 km southeast of Genoa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 10,244 and an area of 9.8 km2.[1]

The municipality of Santa Margherita Ligure contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Nozarego, Paraggi and San Lorenzo della Costa.

Santa Margherita Ligure borders the following municipalities: Camogli, Portofino, Rapallo.
