Santa Cruz del Norte is a municipality and town in La Habana Province, Cuba, located between the cities of Havana and Matanzas, at the mouth of the Santa Cruz River.
The municipality has an area of 131 km² and contains the communities of Boca de Jaruco, Brisas del Mar, Central Hershey (base for the Hershey Railway), Jibacoa and the town of Santa Cruz del Norte.
The town was founded in 1800, being a fisher community at that time, and achieved municipality status in 1933.
This is the main home of the Havana Club rum distillery; all dark varieries being produced in Santa Cruz del Norte. The distillery can be visited as part of a tour. Other industries include power generation and fishing.
