[edit] History
Santa Barbara Lighthouse was built in 1856. The tower lantern was fitted with a fourth order Fresnel lens and originally displayed a fixed red light, which later was changed to fixed white. In 1925, a severe earthquake heavily damaged the lighthouse and had to be demolished. A modern light stands on the original site.
