Santa Ana Maya is a small municipality in the state of Michoacán, Mexico that borders the states of Guanajuato, and Lake Cuitzeo. Several small towns pertain to it: Huacao, La Lobera, El Cuervo, Rancho Nuevo, La Ladera, Potzundareo, San Rafael, El Toronjo, La Mesa Rica, La Colonia, and the largest is the town of Santa Ana Maya.
Santa Ana Maya's central Catholic Church has beautiful wood carvings on its doors and interior that are characteristic of the community's carpenters' style of work.
