Sanshiro Sugata (姿三四郎 Sugata Sanshirō?, aka Judo Saga) is a 1943 film written and directed by Akira Kurosawa, based on a novel by Tomita Tsuneo. Set in 1882, it dramatizes the life of Sanshiro Sugata, the foundation of Judo and its conflict with Jujutsu.

The film was re-released after World War II, however, it was discovered that the film was missing 17 minutes. Today the lost footage has not been found.
