Sanjeewan Vidyalaya is a private boarding school in Panchgani, a hillstation in the state of Maharashtra, India.

Nestled in the beautiful sahyadri mountain ranges in Maharashtra, Running along the Krishna River, is Panchgani. It is about a 2 hour drive away from the nearby Pune city and about a five hour away from the state capital Mumbai. Panchgani is a small town and plays home to some large plateaux [locally called tableland]. It also has about 30-odd schools. Panchgani is a thirty minute drive from another sister hill station Maharashtra [particularly famous for its strawberries] The School has 3 main campuses and a large sports ground. the entire school sends extreme positive vibes to all who enter here, due to the calmness in the surroundings and the peacefulness.

The school was initially started of in the late 1920's under the name of 'Hindu High School' by 'The Pandit Brothers'. they had three students when they started off. Then later during the partition of India into India and Pakistan it was burned down as a result of hindu-muslim rioting, after which in about 1952 it was rebuild under the name sanjeewan vidyalaya with Mr. Sharad Pandit as its principal.

Currently the school is run by the 'Sanjeewan Vidyalaya Trust' with Dr.Neelkanth Kalyani as its chairman.Dr.kalyani left the post.Incedently he is also an alumni of the school. Over the years sanjeewan has changed drastically the age old buildings add to the beauty [though some buildings have been demolished and new ones made in its place]. The open air prayer ground is a beautiful auditorium overlooking the opposite valey and is the closest one can get to nature both physically and emotionaly. Sanjeewan Vidyalaya has both Maharashtra State Board (S.S.C.) and C.B.S.E. and produces some of the best results in panchgani. it is foremost in the field of extra-curriculars with good sports teams [cricket,football,tennis,swimming,athletic,hockey,etc...] it is also the only school in panchgani to have a swimming pool. it currently has three principals, one for each board Mr.Deshmukh [state board] Mrs.R.Augustine [C.B.S.E.] Dr. Uday Narkar(C.B.S.E. Senior School)

The School has Maharashtra State Boards (S.S.C.) and the Delhi Board (C.B.S.E.). Its a CO-ED School. The school runs classes from 3-12 (classes for 11-12 C.B.S.E. only). It has 3 campuses, known as Living and Learning Complex.All the 3 campuses are very close to each other.

LLC-1 is the oldest and the largest of the three campuses comprising of Dorms, Classes, Multi Purpose Hall, Open Air Hall, Trust Office, Accounts Office, Staff Residence, Student Stores,Dinning Hall, etc. Now students of class 3-8 stay here and classes for standard 3-5 are conducted here.

At LLC-2 Students from class 9 and 10 stay here and classes for standard 7-10 are conducted. The campus has a 25 meter Swimming Pool, Basket Ball Court, Lawn Tennis Court, Fine Art Complex, Library, Laboratory, Dinning Hall, Gardens, etc. LLC-3 commonly know as VTC (Vocational Training Center) Resides Students of standard 11-12 and their classes are held here. There are two streams, Science Stream and Commerce Stream. The campus is surrounded by lush green beautiful gardens and has small Playground. LLC-3 has a Laboratory, a small Library, Computer Lab, Fashion Designing lab, etc. Sanjeewan Vidyalaya conducts tests for NIOS (National Institute for Open Schooling) for the many locals and rural people.
