Sanghamitra

Sanghamitra was a princess of the Mauryan Empire of India. She was one of the twin children of the great Emperor Ashoka by his Buddhist queen Devi. Together with her twin brother Mahindra, she entered an order of Buddhist monks. The two siblings later went to Sri Lanka to spread the teachings of Buddha.
