Sandy Mayer

Sandy Mayer (born April 5, 1952 in Flushing, New York) is a former tennis player from the United States, who won ten titles in singles and twenty-four titles in doubles during his professional career. He was part of the winning tennis squad at Stanford University in 1973.

Of the winning 1973 Stanford tennis team, he, Roscoe Tanner and Pat Dupre were all brothers in the Zeta Psi fraternity.

The righthander Mayer reached his highest singles ATP-ranking on April 26, 1982, when he became the number 7 of the world.
