Sandy Martínez

Angel Sandy Martínez (born October 8, 1970 in Villa Mella, Dominican Republic) is currently a Minor League Baseball catcher who plays for the Norfolk Tides, the New York Mets' AAA affiliate. Previously, Martínez played for the Toronto Blue Jays (1995-97), Chicago Cubs (1998-99), Florida Marlins (2000), Montreal Expos (2001), Cleveland Indians (2004), Boston Red Sox (2004), and Detroit Tigers (2005). He bats left-handed and throws right-handed.

In an eight-season career, Martínez is a .230 hitter with six home runs and 51 RBI in 218 games.
