Sander van Heeswijk

Sander van Heeswijk (born on March 30, 1972 in Geldrop) is a former field hockey player from the Netherlands, who played 94 matches for the Dutch national team, in which he scored two goals. The defender/midfielder made his debut for the national squad on April 12, 1995 in a friendly match against India.
He was selected for the Hockey World Cup in 1998, but injury prevented him from playing in Utrecht. Van Heeswijk played club hockey for Oranje Zwart from Eindhoven. His last match for the Dutch national team was at the 1999 European Nations Cup in Padua.
