Sancocho

'Sancocho,salcocho o sal cocho' is a term used in Hispanic American countries for a soup made with beef, chicken or fish stock most often containing large pieces of solid food, i.e., vegetables and chunks of meat. The sancocho is frequently considered a main or only dish in a meal.Ingredients and preparation vary widely depending on the country. you can mix severals fruits and vegetables (oka, yautia, yucca, potatoes,banana,arabian banana,corn,coriander,celery,litte greens) and meats like chevon,pork,american chicken,criollan chicken, beef, etc... also you can serve it with white rice.The Dominican Republic regards sancocho as her national dish.
In Panama, where also it's a typical food, has became the most common dish to serve to the foreigners, as part of the country's traditional culture. This may be made with chicken, ñame, salt and cilantro, all this boiled in water.
In Colombia, sancocho is a fairly rustic dish. Ingredients usually include chicken or fish, plantains, yuca, maize, and potatoes.
