Sanaa Hamri

Moroccan-born Sanaa Hamri is an American music video director. She is one of the few prominent female music video directors. Her videos include but are not limited to Jadakiss's "U Make Me Wanna", Prince's "Musicology" and Mariah Carey's "Crybaby" and "Don't Stop (Funkin' 4 Jamaica)".
Production began in March 2005 on Focus Features' Something New, a romantic comedy starring Sanaa Lathan (Brown Sugar, Alien vs. Predator) and Simon Baker (The Ring Two, L.A. Confidential) and directed by Sanaa Hamri. Stephanie Allain is producing the film through her company, Homegrown Pictures.
Hamri was born in Tangier, Morocco. Her father is the late Moroccan Muslim painter Mohamed Hamri (who was also one of Joujouka music's best advocates) . Her mother is a Jewish American of Russian origin.
She attended Sarah Lawrence College.
