San Siro is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 70 km north of Milan and about 30 km northeast of Como. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,826 and an area of 18.55 km2.[1] The comume was formed on March 30, 1999, by the fusion of the former comuni of Sant'Abbondio and Santa Maria Rezzonico.
San Siro borders the following municipalities: Bellano, Cremia, Dervio, Menaggio, Perledo, Plesio.
