San Pédro

San Pédro is a city in south western Côte d'Ivoire and is the nation’s second largest port. It is the capital of the Bas-Sassandra department. It has a population of 131,800 (1998). Largely developed from the 1960s, fishing is an important industry, while the town is known for its nightlife and its beaches.
