San Miguel (Spanish "St. Michael"), founded on August 10, 1896, is a municipality ("comuna") of Chile in the Santiago Metropolitan Region. It has an area of 9.5 km², a population of 78,872 (2002 census) and an average household income of $29,183 in PPP US dollars (2000).
