San Daniele del Friuli is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 80 km northwest of Trieste and about 20 km northwest of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,985 and an area of 34.7 km2.[1]
The municipality of San Daniele del Friuli contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Villanova, Cimano, and Località Aonedis.
San Daniele del Friuli borders the following municipalities: Dignano, Forgaria nel Friuli, Majano, Osoppo, Pinzano al Tagliamento, Ragogna, Rive d'Arcano, Spilimbergo.
