San Benedetto Val di Sambro is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bologna in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 35 km southwest of Bologna. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,493 and an area of 66.7 km2.[1]

The municipality of San Benedetto Val di Sambro contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Sant'Andrea, Pian del Voglio, Monteacuto Vallese, Madonna dei Fornelli, Ripoli, Castel dell'Alpi, Montefredente, Qualto, Cedrecchia, Zaccanesca, and Pian di Balestra.
