San Andrés (Spanish for Saint Andrew) is a town located in the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. It is located 10 km from the capital city if Santa Cruz de Tenerife, it is in a coastal area and is located by the Anaga mountains. It is administratively a part of the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The town is situated on a mountain slope with an urban area locating near the valley and the beach.

San Andrés with avout 2,500 people and until 1940 was accessed with only by footpath. With the construction of a coastal road with Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the village became connected with the road to the capital. A fortress used to exist, it was destroyed by storms in 1740 and 1896 and 1706, a tower was built. The Spanish court stopped larger tourist properties in 1984.
In 1973 brought the administration to the island into the Las Teresitas beach with 4 million bags of Sahara sand and the infrastrtucture with parking lots.

Residents of San Andrés lives primarily with fishing. Tourism is also common and created a number of jobs. The town features hotels, retirement homes, apartments and villas.

The brazilian football/soccer star Ronaldo played in 1998 with his Nike sponsorship for the world championship.

Not far from San Andrés is the beach named Playa de las Gaviotas, a 200 m-long white volcanic sand beach by Igueste de San Andrés. The depth by the coastline is 180 m.
