I noticed you created an article PCosh recently. At the moment, it is identical to the site you linked in the article [1] and as such is a violation of copywrite. I thought I would write you a note rather than just submitting it as a violation in case you intended to expand it (or write it in your own words) and just were taking a pause. Thanks! --Syrthiss 20:50, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
Added a note that SammyJ is the author of the website in question. Thanks! --Sammyj 7 December 2005
- I wanted to let you know that I have listed the article on articles for deletion. I couldn't find any significant verification of Ms. Cosh in a google search. Since you are a new user, I wanted to quickly explain that articles for deletion DOESN'T mean I want your article deleted, nessecarily. What it means is that applying the guidelines for inclusion of articles, this article doesn't meet them in my opinion based on my websearches. You are welcome to present other sources that verify the article's subject on the afd page for this article (linked near the top of the article in the box), and other editors will also be looking to do the same. --Syrthiss 15:36, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Incorrect Info in Wikipedia
You have added incorrect information to the Pete Maravich article. Thank you! --Ashenai 19:03, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
I thought CBS sports on 3/26/06 had a special on Pete Maravich and reported on his heart condition listing his defect as an right coronary artery missing. A reference to the exact cause is needed, such as Author: Choi JH;Kornblum RN Title: Pete Maravich's incredible heart. Citation: J Forensic Sci 1990 Jul;35(4):981-6 PMID: 2202775 .
- Wow, okay, sorry about that. I need a refresher course in WP:AGF, it seems. I've just been encountering a lot of vandalism lately, and assumed the worst. Again, please accept my apologies. --Ashenai 20:18, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

- Hey, no problem. I should have researched the problem more first.
[edit] Vasopressin from parvocellular neurons
Thanks for correcting my error over at Vasopressin [2]. It'd been a long day. :-) Cheers, David Iberri (talk) 17:44, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Article names and wikilinks
Hi Sammyj, I noted your edit to Kenny Buttrey, and creation of the article Band Rig. First, in keeping with Wikipedia naming conventions, I moved (renamed) the Rig page to Rig (album), since it is really an article about the album, and the parentheses are for disambiguation, that is, to distinguish from articles about other things with the same name. I also created Rig (band) as a redirect to Rig (album); if you want to write an article about the band itself as opposed to the album, it should replace the redirect on that page. (Note that Band Rig remains as a redirect as well, as an artifact of the page move.)
Also, when adding links to other Wikipedia articles, please use the wikilink style, that is, use
- [[Rig (band)]] (note the double square brackets)
instead of a full URL like
- [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rig_(band)]
since that is how the Wikimedia software tracks links internally and implements tools like "What links here", etc.
Happy editing, MCB 22:34, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the help, MCB. I used the full URL because Buttrey is actually listed as Buffalo Buttrey on the album. I just added a phrase to that instead.
