[edit] Invite to join/help organize Wikipedia:Wikiproject LGBT studies

Hello. (Sorry for the form letter) In my various travels in Wikipedia, I have run across your name as someone who takes an active interest in LGBT articles. This is an invitation to check out a new project: Wikipedia:Wikiproject LGBT studies. The initial goal is to create an within Wikipedia a unicversity-level academic-quality reference encyclopedia for LGBT and Queer Studies-related topics. The goal is two fold: 1. bring as many as possible up to Featured Article quality, and 2. prove that LGBT-related topics are as academically relevant to WP as other anthropology subsets. - Davodd 21:56, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

Question Hello Samaritan:

You participated in modifying an article David Anber which is currently up for deletion. Can you please weigh in and mention why you yourself did not delete it when you came across it. (In the discussion for deletion)

[edit] AfD Nomination List of visible minority and aboriginal candidates in Canadian elections

I've nominated the article List of visible minority and aboriginal candidates in Canadian elections for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that List of visible minority and aboriginal candidates in Canadian elections satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of visible minority and aboriginal candidates in Canadian elections. Don't forget to add four tildes (˜˜˜˜) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of List of visible minority and aboriginal candidates in Canadian elections during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. Ardenn 04:54, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Proposal on Notability

Because you're a member of the Association of Inclusionist Wikipedians, I'm notifying you that the inclusionist proposa Wikipedia:Non-notabilityl is in progress to define the role of notability in articles. Please help us make this successful! Also note the proposal Wikipedia:Importance is a deletionist proposla that seeks to officially introduce notabiltiy for the first time. --Ephilei 04:45, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Neoliberalism in Canada

Hi, Neoconservatism and neoliberalism in Canada is being AfD'd. As the author, I thought I'd let you know. I've had POV problems with Armon, the nominator, who challenges anything he doesn't like if it's not thoroughly cited. Get there before it goes. 210.86.85.138 08:15, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Stacey farber.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Stacey farber.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok 22:04, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
