[edit] Cognitive therapy

Thanks for the section on children and adolescents. A reference or two would help to make this authoritative: do you have any available to quote? -- JimR 10:16, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

Sam - just wanted to say thanks for adding some reason to some unreasonable (or unreasoned?) discussions about psychotherapy with kids. Your attachment comments (and edits) are particularly helpful. What's most important, I think, is that you're really pushing folks to think objectively/scientifically - and not simply accepting folklore. Thanks! ~~Theguyinblue 11:36, 19 July, 2006

[edit] John Bowlby

I was planning to wait until the mediator returns, as a gesture of good faith. --David.Mestel 20:20, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Just to answer your comment elsewhere-- you see, if what you said about training in EBT criteria were true, there would be no argument here. If you're interested in this issue, you might want to start by reading Chambless & Hollon and by looking at the CONSORT and TREND checklists. A considerable concern is not about design but about transparency of reporting. Jean Mercer 17:46, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

I am quite familiar with EBT and the various criteria. The citation you mention is one of several and the criteria is one of severa. You might want to become familiar with the full range of approaches. SamDavidson 19:46, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
