Samuel Neta HaLevi

Samuel ben Natan Neta HaLevi (1738-1827) was an Orthodox rabbi and Halakhist ("Authority on Jewish law") known to scholars of Judaism.

His commentary, the Machatzit HaShekel, is printed at the bottom of standard pages in most editions of the Shulkhan Arukh.
