Samuel Benjamin

Samuel Greene Wheeler Benjamin (1837-1914) was an American statesman.
Author and diplomat, born in Greece, but educated in the United States, he was appointed as the first American Minister to Persia in 1883.
It was he who first drafted the diplomatic code used by the American legation in Persia.
