The Radio Shack 500 is a NASCAR NEXTEL Cup race held at the Texas Motor Speedway in Justin, Texas USA.

[edit] Grandfather Clause

RadioShack and Samsung sponsored the race between 2002 and 2006; the joint sponsorship was grandfathered in 2003 by NASCAR's grandfather clause when Nextel became a NASCAR sponsor, as they banned rival wireless sponsorships (Nextel uses Motorola exclusively); the ban was after the 2005 merger of Sprint and Nextel, since Sprint is sold at RadioShack, and Sprint uses Samsung products.
