Sampsa Astala

Sampsa Astala, (born January 23, 1974 in Urjala, Finland) is the drummer of the Finnish hard rock band Lordi. In Lordi he plays under the stage name of "Kita". His character is a manbeast from an ancient alien race. He joined the band in 1999.
Despite conservatives' claims from David Cameron that Lordi are a satanic band, Kita is in fact a member of the Church of Finland. He also thanks "Almighty God" on the "Thank you to..." list on his records.
The name "Kita" is a Finnish word meaning a gap or a maw, large mouth (of a beast).
