Sammy Morris (born March 23, 1977 in San Antonio, Texas) is a fullback for the Miami Dolphins. Morris played at Texas Tech University before entering the NFL draft where he was selected by the Buffalo Bills with the 27th pick of the fifth round (156 overall). He was the Dolphins' leading rusher during the 2004 season, and is currently the top backup to running back Ronnie Brown due to the suspension of Ricky Williams.
On September 1, 2006, Morris was suspended for the first four games of the regular season. He violated the NFL's steroid policy, stemming from him taking a banned substance, pseudoephedrine, in the over-the-counter medicine Sudafed.
