Sammy Miller Motorcycle museum

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum was set up in 1964, after the former championship winning trials rider Sammy Miller set up a parts business in New Milton, Hampshire

The business started after Miller put a few of his old racing motorcycles in the corner - which eventually became the catalyst of the present day museum.

The museum is now a charitable trust, houses some 300machines including motorcycles and 3wheeled vehicles, and is considered of one the best motorcycle museums in Europe.

[edit] Quotations

  • "It's a hobby gone mad, but I get a lot of satisfaction out of the restorations we do. I've been successful in property (development) and I've not blown the few quid I've made, I've put it into the museum." Sammy Miller on his museum/hobby
