Samassi Abou

Samassi Abou (born 4 April 1973 in Gagnoa) is a professional footballer from Côte d'Ivoire, who plays as a forward.
He started playing in France for Lyon in August 1995, moving a year later, to AS Cannes. In October 1997, he made the move to English football, signing for West Ham United for £250,000. In 31 appearances he scored six times, before being released to Ipswich Town, in December 1998. A year later, in October 1999 he signed for Walsall F.C., a move which lasted little over a month in an unsuccessful spell. He is now back in France, playing for Lorient.
