Samantha Armytage

Samantha Armytage is an Australian journalist and television news reporter. She is currently presenter of Seven's 4.30 News in Sydney, and shares the role of regular fill-in presenter for Sydney bulletins with Chris Bath.
Armytage began her career at WIN Television in Canberra in 1999, following this she joined Sky News in 2002 and was chief political reporter. She joined Seven in April 2003.
In December 2004, she landed her first major presenting role, filling-in presenting the Sydney 6pm weeknight news over the Summer non-ratings period. Following the non-ratings period she has had stints presenting the national Morning News bulletin, the national late news updates, and filling in presenting Sydney's local news bulletin.
In 2005 and 2006, Armytage was the regular presenter on Sydney's edition of Seven News on Fridays, before Chris Bath took the position on Fridays, and weekends in mid 2006. When Ian Ross went on holidays in late June - early July 2006, Chris Bath left her weekend position to fill in for Ross, and Sam presented the weekend edition of Seven News.
From September 11 to September 15, 2006 Armytage filled in for Naomi Robson as host of Seven's Today Tonight (east coast version) while Robson was reporting in Indonesia.
